Real Recovery Stories
Real Indian Indie street dogs rescued right from the lanes of Gorakhpur, restored to health and joy through medicine and daily affection.
Moti was hit by a speeding motorcycle on a busy road near Nawapar. Bleeding with a fractured hind limb, he was ignored by dozens of passers-by. Our ambulance reached him within 25 minutes. After 3 months of surgery, splints, and gentle love, Moti now walks tall and guards the shelter with joy.
Found shivering with an injured front leg, little Chutki was brought to our clinic, bandaged, and gently nursed. Today, her paw is 100% healed with no bandages, and she runs happily in the shelter garden.
Sheru suffered extensive leg trauma and spent weeks resting on a jute mat in our medical recovery ward with sterile bandages. Today, he stands proud and strong on all four legs with zero limp.
At dusk, our volunteer van tours Gorakhpur railway stations, market corners, and village lanes distributing warm, freshly cooked rice, porridge (daliya), milk, and pedigree broth. Over 100+ street dogs receive food daily, and clean earthen water pots are refilled across the city during summer.

Because Eastern UP lacks dedicated emergency hospitals for stray animals, our Nawapar ward serves as a lifeline. Our veterinary team provides intravenous fluid resuscitation, wound debridement, fracture splints, and constant medical supervision until critical animals are fully stabilized.

Dogs who have lost spinal mobility, suffered amputations, or become blind can never safely return to highway traffic. At our Nawapar sanctuary, they find a permanent, dignified home. Twelve paralyzed dogs roll freely on custom mobility carts, resting on orthopedic bedding with dedicated daily nursing and nutritious meals.

During the severe fog and freezing cold of North Indian winters, paralyzed, elderly, and trauma-recovering dogs cannot regulate body heat. Our shelter installs dry straw bedding, thick woolen blankets, mattress pads, and windbreakers so every resident dog stays warm, dry, and safe.
100% of donor contributions go straight to ground veterinary care, emergency ambulance fuel, and daily street feeding in Gorakhpur.
Provides 1 hungry street dog with fresh milk, warm daliya porridge, boiled rice and vitamins.
Covers anti-rabies vaccine, deworming tablet, antiseptic spray, and cotton bandages for 1 dog.
Supplies 3 IV saline bottles, hemostatic injections, sterile pain meds and antibiotic cover for a road hit victim.
Complete external splinting, weekly sterile dressings, high-protein broth, and 1 month post-op shelter bed.
Supports a paralyzed resident with customized mobility wheels, anti-bedsore bedding, and 3 months of food and nursing.
